KEEP GARMENTS CLEAN.

Never store soiled textiles. This may be stating the obvious, but it cannot be stressed enough. Dust, dirt and stains can harm textile fibres.  Hand launder or dry-clean the garment as soon as possible after wearing. Stains that are allowed to set-in can cause permanent discoloration. When hand laundering, rinse thoroughly to remove all traces of soap.

Dry garment in shade, on hanger (that has been padded with a clean plastic shopping bag), gently pulling into shape.

Sleeves may be puffed out with plastic too. When completely dry, store garment on well padded hanger in protective fabric garment bag, or pillow case for smaller garments. Garments are better left unironed till needed, when they can be refreshed by rinsing in clear water and then pressing when almost dry. This method will also prevent impurities in the iron being left on the garment during storage.

Hand and machine embroideries need to be ironed from the back, which will raise the embroidery for full effect.
